Established in 1967
Fred’s Motor Repairs & VRT Station was founded by Alfred Grech after 5 years working for a UK-based Garage. Alfred took the first steps towards making his dream come true – that of opening his own auto repair shop in Malta.
His son, Malcolm, joined his father when he was just 17 years old and fresh out of Technical School. After joining his father’s business, Malcolm continued learning the trade under his father’s guidance and tutelage.
In 1998, Fred’s Motor Repairs & VRT Station took new steps towards becoming a modern garage equipped with a choice of high-end machinery as Malcolm took it under his reins. He continued to improve upon the family-run business through his constant efforts and perfectionist approach.
In 2013, Malcolm and his team of dedicated and qualified mechanics moved to new and larger premises, not far from where his father’s dream first planted its seeds.
Malcolm’s perfectionist approach is immediately noticed upon entering the station, where one is struck by the organisation, cleanliness and meticulous approach in how business is rigorously conducted.
